This series pulls from the hyper-saturated, glittery language of 1990s girlhood aesthetics and reframes it as something both tender and complicated. Bright, playful color and “girly” excess become a surface for processing deeper personal histories by using lush leaves, blooming flowers, and watchful animals as stand-ins for memory, protection, and survival.
